Salvatore Bono has frequented his grandfather's carpenter shop since he was a child. There, a great passion for wood was born. Enraptured by the characteristics of this living and timeless material, the interest in the art applied to wood grows and becomes an integral part in the studies. He first attended the Art Institute, briefly the Faculty of Architecture and, finally, the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo. Here, he finds his own dimension; he dedicates his studies mainly to the design, planning and construction of art objects, using only and exclusively wood.
In 2009 he created an artistic space called Bonodesign.
